Meeting Alan and the Wolfpack

Posted on

We returned to Bangkok for one final night before we had to head down to the southern islands.

In true brit style we were mainly concerned with eating and drinking, and not much else.

We were hoping we would meet some party people in our hostel but it seems once again we picked a duff one. Nobody wanted to run up and down Khao San Road drinking buckets with us which was sad. But we soon got over it and went out just us three.

The first bar we went to we were seated underneath a tv screen which was showing some sort of boring sport. So it felt as if everyone was constantly staring at us, which seems to be happening a lot here…

After a couple of Changs and most likely a Bacardi Breezer for the child, Nineham, we moved onto the next bar where we drank some more. We got to a third bar and ordered more drinks, we were having our own mini bar crawl.

Some Dutch guy came over and started talking to us, and at first he seemed like a nice guy, but soon we realised he was an absolute knob head! He told me that in his opinion all English girls are whores. How very nice of him.

Of course this did not sit well with me, so we started a very heated argument which ended in him leaving our table and us ignoring him for the rest of the night. He was a douche of the highest kind.

On the table next to us there was a few Aussie guys who we joined in the hope of having a normal conversation which didn’t end in an argument. This is when the night starts to get  a little hazy.

We all went to The Club again, as there seems to be no other clubs except for ping-pong clubs. The jokes were flowing about buying luggage on the way in and I’m pretty sure we chanted about drinking Changs for a while.

A lot of dancing occurred and more drink was had, and this is when we met Alan and the Wolfpack from the Hangover.

They all had matching ‘Wolfpack’ bands on their wrists which I found hilarious as they were fully grown men. We showed them ‘The Baking Tray’ dance move which they loved and Alan said he was going to ‘show it to the world’.

They showed us their special dance moves in return but nothing can beat The Baking Tray. It is a truly great move.

I don’t know how long we were there but we had a bloody good boogie and met some hilarious people. Due to Bianca being a little bit too drunk, we decided to go home and put her to bed.

Disclaimer: it wasn’t actually Alan from The Hangover, just a guy who looked like him (that’s for you Nineham)
